Job summary

Intealth is seeking a Privacy & Compliance Law Clerk to support our Legal Department’s privacy, compliance, and risk initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a current law student to gain practical, in-house experience with a mission-driven nonprofit.

In this role you will conduct legal research, assist with privacy reviews, assess US and international requirements, map data flows, and help identify regulatory risks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in ABA-accredited JD program (2L or 3L).
• Interest or experience in privacy or data protection.
• Familiarity with privacy law fundamentals and international frameworks.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
• IAPP certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support reviews of privacy practices across jurisdictions.
• Research and confirm data protection requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with mapping how personal data moves through Intealth’s systems and vendors.
• Identify and communicate potential privacy, compliance, or data-management risks.
• Conduct legal research on U.S. and international privacy laws, including GDPR.
• Prepare clear and concise legal memoranda, summaries, and other written materials.
• Support additional legal, compliance, and risk management projects as assigned.

Compensation And Position Details

• Salary: Starting at $30.00 hourly
• Schedule: Part-time, 15–20 hours per week
• Work Arrangement: Flexible hybrid schedule with regular in-office attendance required on Wednesdays.

Intealth is seeking a Privacy & Compliance Law Clerk to support our Legal Department’s privacy, compliance, and risk management initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a current law student interested in gaining practical, in-house legal experience.

In this role, you will conduct legal research, assist with privacy compliance reviews, assess US and international privacy requirements, support data-flow mapping, and help identify potential legal and regulatory risks. The ideal candidate is a strong researcher and writer who can analyze complex regulatory information, manage multiple assignments, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support reviews of Intealth’s privacy practices across major countries where applicants reside.
• Research and confirm minimum data protection requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with mapping how personal data moves through Intealth’s systems and third-party vendors.
• Identify and communicate potential privacy, compliance, or data-management risks.
• Conduct legal research on U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, including state privacy statutes and the GDPR.
• Prepare clear and concise legal memoranda, summaries, and other written materials.
• Support additional legal, compliance, and risk management projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a second year (2L) or third year (3L) student in an ABA-accredited Juris Doctor program.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in privacy or data protection through coursework, internships, employment, or extracurricular activities.
• Familiarity with privacy law fundamentals and general awareness of international data protection frameworks.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to compare regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and organizing data-driven legal research.
• Sound judgment when handling confidential, sensitive, and legally privileged information.
• IAPP certification, such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, etc. CIPM, CIPT, and/or privacy-related coursework is a plus but not required.
