Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Privacy Analyst II to oversee day‑to‑day privacy compliance activities for MUSC Health under the Director of Privacy. The role drives HIPAA audits, investigations, and education while ensuring effective coordination across the Privacy Office.

You will mentor analysts, log and track incidents, and support ongoing privacy initiatives across the health system.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of work experience in privacy/compliance.
• Experience with HIPAA audits and privacy investigations.

• Log questions and allegations in the matter management system.
• Facilitate communications across organization to Privacy Office.
• Provide education and inservicing on HIPAA issues.
• Conduct HIPAA site visits and train new privacy team members.
• Mentor other analysts and assist Director of Privacy as needed.

Job Description Summary The Privacy Analyst II has responsibility for monitoring the day-to-day activities of MUSC Health in furtherance of its privacy compliance objectives. The role works in conjunction with and under the supervision of the MUSC Heath Director of Privacy. Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Cost Center CC002278 SYS - Compliance Program Pay Rate Type Salary Pay Grade Health-30 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift.

Job Description Primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting various high complexity HIPAA audits and responding to inquiries
• Coordinating the investigation and response to reported allegations and questions, ensuring completion of all necessary follow-up actions and reporting requirements
• Ensuring questions and allegations are logged in the matter management system
• Facilitating communications between areas of the organization that approach the Privacy Office
• Providing education and inservicing on more technical aspects of HIPAA as needed
• Conducting HIPAA site visits
• Training new privacy team members
• Serving as a mentor to the other analysts
• Assisting the Director of Privacy with all other duties as assigned
