Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Patient Access Representative to process preadmission and admission data, entering information into the hospital system and maintaining data quality. You will coordinate with patients, financial counselors and patient accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with MUSC policies.

Role is based in the Patient Admissions Department, supporting units such as Emergency Dept, Inpatient, ICU, Nursery, and operating areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Must pass typing exam. Minimum typing score is 35wpm.
  • Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred.
