Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation in Austin seeks a Privacy Analyst to join the Data Governance and Management team in a collaborative hybrid environment. The role focuses on privacy risk management, data protection, and guidance to business and technology teams on personal information handling.

Regular in-office work at the Stassney Campus is expected. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in privacy or related fields, with strong analytical skills and a proactive, ownership-oriented

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in privacy analysis, information security, compliance or risk management.
• Graduate level education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in privacy impact assessments and review systems for privacy risks.
• Develop and implement privacy policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate privacy controls and respond to privacy inquiries from internal and external customers.
• Lead privacy awareness activities and training; monitor compliance with privacy requirements.
• Assist with privacy breach responses and root-cause analysis.
