Pay Rate: The annual base salary range is $70,000-$95,000, subject to factors such as experience, education, and skills.

Position Location: Washington, D.C.

About the Role

The Privacy Analyst will collaborate with Bureau Chief Privacy Officers to ensure compliance with laws such as the Privacy Act of 1974, FISMA, the E-Government Act of 2002, OMB guidance, and NIST standards. Responsibilities include processing Privacy Act requests, reviewing PA System of Records Notices (SORNs), and supporting privacy in information systems.

Responsibilities Include

• Facilitating stakeholder engagement on privacy best practices.
• Reviewing and approving privacy notices, plans, and risk assessments.
• Supporting the handling of privacy complaints and incidents.
• Ensuring privacy considerations in data collection, use, and disposal.
• Reviewing privacy plans for information systems.
• Alerting on systems that cannot be adequately protected.
• Managing reports on systems of records for review.
• Reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
• Ensuring accuracy and relevance of PII data.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with the Privacy Act and PA requests.
• Knowledge of privacy laws, regulations, and standards such as NIST SP 800-37 and 800-53.

Education Requirements

• Associates degree required.
