Job summary

Great Basin College seeks a part-time Prison Education Facilitator for the Lovelock, Nevada area. You will work in the Lovelock Correctional Center, proctor exams, support students with tech, and help deliver Zoom-based courses under NDOC guidelines.

Responsibilities include assisting faculty, maintaining testing security, and representing GBC with professionalism. Shifts are limited, with 15–19 hours weekly and no benefits; travel to Winnemucca may be required.

Qualifications

• Pass a thorough background investigation and meet NDOC training requirements.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional boundaries.
• Experience with computer applications and office equipment; ability to adapt to classroom tech.

Responsibilities

• Be present in the LCC classroom during classes with security personnel.
• Proctor exams and maintain confidentiality of testing materials.
• Provide feedback and assist students with computer usage.
• Facilitate Zoom-based course delivery and set up classroom equipment.
• Assist faculty and students and act as a GBC liaison.
• Prepare and deliver approved communications, assignments, and course materials.
