This position is located within our Contract Manufacturing Operation at our Livonia MI facility. Client's Contract Manufacturing provides assembly services to many of the leading-edge companies in the automotive industry. Products we produce for our customers consist of Off-Road tactical military vehicles, Self driving / Autonomous vehicles & Electric vehicles just to name a few. These low volume, highly technical projects make for a very exciting work environment where you learn cutting edge technology on a regular basis. Qualifications:

• 1 year of recent hands on assembly experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US citizen
• Must have basic understanding of automotive systems
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must be able to use manual tools and power equipment safely
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve
• Must have good organizational skills
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must possess the skills to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and willing to learn
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must have excellent attendance and be willing to work overtime/weekends when needed

Preferred Skills

• Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience preferred
• Automotive electrical systems experience a plus
• Candidates are encouraged to have a basic set of mechanic tools

Worker Instructions:

• Candidates will need to interview during day shift.
• Hired contractors will be expected to train on day shift for two weeks before moving to 2nd shift.(6am - 2:30pm)
• 2nd shift hours will be 3:30pm - 12:0am (OT as needed)
• Special accommodations may be possible for some more experienced candidates if they are not able to train on 1st shift.
