Emplify Health is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. You will obtain pre-certifications and authorizations for services, working with hospital departments and insurance companies to ensure timely approvals.

The role requires 1–2 years in healthcare with insurance or prior authorization, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities. Remote eligibility applies after completing in-person training in Onalaska, WI.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; attention to detail essential.
• Coding experience and certifications is a plus.

We are looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team! In this role you will work with hospital departments and insurance companies to obtain the necessary pre-certifications and authorizations for services ordered/scheduled from insurance. Attention to detail, strong communication, and computer and phone skills are important!

Job Specifics:

• Full time, 1.0 FTE - 40 hours/week
• Monday-Friday, hours between 7 am -5 pm, 8-hour shifts
• Remote eligible after training in-person in Onalaska, WI
• Specialize in prior authorization for Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy

What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• 1-2 years' experience in healthcare with insurance or prior authorization experience required
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Coding experience and certifications is a plus!
