Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prior authorization processing for providers, pharmacies and internal partners. You will review requests, document decisions, and ensure NCQA compliance while maintaining high productivity and quality.

Qualifications

National Pharmacy Technician certification and Arizona or applicable state Pharmacy Technician license, current and in good standing.
Between 1-5+ years of Pharmacy Prior Authorization processing experience.
Ability to Multi-task and prioritize work.
Ability to adjust based on business or department needs.
Good organization skills.

Responsibilities

Process prior authorization requests received by phone, fax, or electronically using medication guidelines.
Complete prior authorization approvals and denials with timely documentation.
Review potential denial language to meet NCQA requirements.
Follow prior authorization workflow, policies, and procedures.
Answer high volume inquiries from provider offices, pharmacies, and internal partners.
Maintain balance of productivity, quality and timeliness of work.
Participate in training and team meetings; maintain excellent attendance.
