Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Front-Line Supervisor to oversee 10-25 employees in the Printing Division, coordinating production, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to policies. This role reports to the Group Manager and supports efficient workflow and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in printing/production, strong English and computer skills, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a printing/production operation, and or a combination of schooling with a Graphic Arts or Business background and 2 years experience in printing production operations.
• Above average computer knowledge and ability to use Word, Excel, and other database programs.
• Ability to follow through with projects and assignments.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred and helpful.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent English skills required in reading, writing, and verbal.

Responsibilities

• 70% Supervise, organize, and manage employees, and equipment in the production areas of the Printing Division.
• 70% Develop and maintain programs controlling spoilage and waste in their assigned areas.
• 70% Review and approve daily time of employees.
• 10% Write work orders for equipment repair or work area concerns.
• Track and find jobs on WIP. Close out all cost centers in software system.
• Attend various production, planning, leadership meetings and others as needed.
• Assist in ordering supplies and parts for machinery in their area.
• Troubleshooting with schedulers when problems or conflicts occur.
• Follow continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
