Job summary

MCC is seeking a The Press Operator to manufacture printed labels and monitor print quality. You will ensure press setup aligns with job tickets and product specifications while maintaining efficiency and minimizing waste.

The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with adherence to safety rules and quality procedures to support consistent production output.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate the printing press per customer specs to ensure quality and minimize waste.
• Perform make-readies and set up cylinders, inks, substrates, and anilox rollers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and complete daily housekeeping.
• Input material usage and time data into GlobeTek system.
• Conduct quality checks: color, registration, ink adhesion.

Responsibilities:

• OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
• Operates the press to produce the product in accordance with customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
• Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include: copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Completes press make-readies efficiently.
• Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
• Inputs all required information into the GlobeTek system for material usage and time accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience as a printing press operator and/or training.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally, an employee must climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
