Job summary

MCC is seeking a ThePress Operator to manufacture printed labels and monitor quality and press conditions. The role emphasizes adherence to safety rules, efficient make-readies, and maintaining product specifications throughout runs.

The position requires standing, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and capability to perform daily housekeeping and equipment maintenance while ensuring accurate data entry in GlobeTek.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience as a printing press operator and/or training.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.
• Complete make-readies per Job Ticket and Product Specification documents.
• Perform quality checks: product specs, visual and functional checks; press-side checks.
• Operate the press to meet customer specs, maximize quality, minimize waste, and optimize efficiency.
• Maintain consistent quality during runs with key checks: copy, color, registration, ink adhesion.
• Follow procedures and quality measurements per the BRC standard.
• Complete press make-readies efficiently.
• Perform equipment maintenance duties.
• Clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans; lubricate press as needed.
• Input material usage and time data into GlobeTek system.

Responsibilities:

• OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
• Operates the press to produce the product in accordance with customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
• Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks include: copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Completes press make-readies efficiently.
• Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
• Inputs all required information into the GlobeTek system for material usage and time accurately and promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience as a printing press operator and/or training.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally, an employee must climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
