Job summary

MCC is seeking a seasoned Press Operator for 2nd and 3rd shifts to manufacture premium labels with a strong emphasis on quality. You will monitor press conditions, verify product specs, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

With a focus on precision and efficiency, you’ll perform makeready, conduct daily housekeeping, and ensure flawless color and registration. We offer competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package in this essential manufacturing role.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of printing press operator experience or training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as required.
• Commitment to safety and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant and corporate safety rules and guidelines.
• Report safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment with daily housekeeping.
• Complete makeready per Job Ticket and Product Specification documents.
• Perform quality checks related to product specs, visuals and functionality.
• Operate press to meet customer specs while controlling quality and waste.
• Maintain consistent quality during production; monitor color, registration and ink adhesion.
• Follow procedures and quality measurements per BRC standard.
• Input material usage and time into GlobeTek system accurately.

ThePress Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

Responsibilities:

• OurPrintingPress Operators must adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Reports all safety concerns or issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Completes make-readyin accordance withthe Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, andaniloxrollers are used.
• Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
• Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications whilemaintainquality, waste, and press efficiency.
• Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
• Responsible for completing all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Completes press makeready’sin an efficient manner.
• Completes all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
• Inputs all required information into theGlobeTeksystem for material usage and time inan accurateand prompt manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
