Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons in Indiana is seeking a press assistant to load materials, adjust feeders, and support make-ready activities. You will move plates, deliver components, and recycle plates to keep production flowing efficiently.

The role requires basic presswork knowledge, ability to follow instructions, and capability to operate hand carts and hydraulic feeders. Competitive pay with shift differential applies for 2nd shift, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of presswork procedures learned on the job.
• Ability to follow instructions to assist in press setup, operation and maintenance.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers and hydraulic feed mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Load paper or materials into feeders to supply a constant flow while the machinery runs.
• Make adjustments to feeder mechanisms based on paper size.
• Deliver equipment components to the press for installation.
• Recycle old/discarded plates.
• Provide basic make-ready assistance for operation.
• Assist with retrieving, hanging and recycling plates and related tasks.
