Job summary

RRD is seeking a Press Operator in Indiana to ensure a steady supply of materials for running equipment. You will load papers, adjust feeder mechanisms, and assist with make-ready tasks including plate handling and installation.

The role requires basic knowledge of press procedures and the ability to follow instructions. Overtime and shift differential may apply; comprehensive benefits offered by RRD.

Qualifications

• Requires basic knowledge of presswork procedures learned through on the job training.
• Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running.
• Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper.
• Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation.
• Recycle old/discarded plates.
• Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation.
• Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recylcling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates.
