Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is looking for a press helper in Westlake Village, CA to support make-ready operations. You will feed paper, adjust feeders, and ensure a steady material flow while the press runs, contributing to smooth production.

Ideal candidates have basic knowledge of press procedures and can follow instructions to assist in setup and operation; you’ll use hand carts, pallet jacks, and related equipment with on‑the‑job training provided.

Qualifications

Requires basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials learned through on the job training
Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance
Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms

Responsibilities

Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running
Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper
Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation
Recycle old/discarded plates
Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation
Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates
