Job description

Job Title: Printer Technician

Genesis10 is seeking a Printer Technician for our client in the Travel/Transportation Services Industry. This is anticipated to be a Long-Term Contract opportunity located in Dallas, TX 75202. This is a 100% on-site position.

W2 Status:

Only candidates available and ready to work directly as employees will be considered for this position.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Printer Technician (Tier 1, 2, or 3) to provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of Lexmark Laser printers and related hardware. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, excellent customer service, and ensuring printers remain operational. The ideal candidate should proactively maintain printers and support end-users with related hardware such as monitors and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Lexmark printers and multifunction devices.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues, including firmware upgrades and connectivity problems.
  • Provide basic support for printers, monitors, mice, and other hardware.
  • Preemptively service printers with toner, imaging units, and software/hardware adjustments.
  • Escort and coordinate with contract printer technicians to ensure efficient service and repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to end users.
  • Communicate issues and solutions effectively with team members.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel regularly to various sites using a company vehicle.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in printer maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Tier-specific skills: Tier 1 assists with toner replacement; Tier 2 diagnoses and fixes issues; Tier 3 repairs circuit boards.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Lexmark Printer Certification (Required), and CompTIA A+.
  • Technical skills: Troubleshooting Lexmark laser printers, firmware upgrades, connectivity diagnosis.
  • Soft skills: Problem-solving, attention to detail, professional communication, customer service.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM or 9 AM-6 PM
