Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing daily activities/tasks of employees to ensure plant operations result in the production of timely, quality printed products. In this role, the Production Supervisor works closely in developing and growing associates. In the absence of the Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will act as the primary plant leader.

Schedule: 3rd shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Training may occur at other times based on business needs.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000 annually. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate daily shift production and overtime schedules to optimize staffing levels and equipment availability.
  • Monitor and report on production levels, schedules, and inventories to Plant Management.
  • Resolve operational, production, and maintenance issues to ensure optimal production levels.
  • Maintain safety standards and report incidents and hazards.
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify product conformance and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure OSHA regulations and ISO requirements are followed.
  • Assist in safety training and incident investigations to promote a safety culture.
  • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of equipment, tools, and workstations.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including timecards and hazard reports.
  • Support employee development, resolve grievances, and provide performance feedback.
  • Assist in hiring processes, including reviewing applications and interviewing candidates.
  • Ensure employees understand quality and production standards.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve customer service and quality issues.
  • Perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety policies.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years management/leadership experience in print manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with late-model automated sheet-fed presses and advanced print machinery.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and quality practices.

  • Effective oral and written communication in English.
  • Leadership ability to train and develop teams.
