Job summary

IDEMIA Secure Transactions is seeking a Printing Specialist to support daily production, manage ink, and assist on customer visits and press checks from design to production. You will follow safety guidelines and drive process improvements across printing operations.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering degree and bring strong problem solving, communication, and project coordination skills to ensure high-quality output on time and within specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or design field as required.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and production processes.
  • Experience with litho, digital and silkscreen printing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain production environment to customers.
  • Excellent time management, communication, presentation and organization skills.
  • Experience with new product development, qualification and introduction.
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis and problem solving (8D, 6 Sigma, QRQC).

Responsibilities

  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Monitor, support and improve production yield rates.
  • Provide technical support on the press to industrialize products from design to printing completion.
  • Monitor ink stock and re-order to ensure continuity of printing operations.
  • Problem solve issues related to the printing process.
  • Audit, maintain and improve existing processes with corrective actions.
  • Develop and qualify new products and processes; manage documentation and projects.
  • Assist in industrialization plans for new products, processes or equipment.
  • Investigate customer complaints with QA, Production and Customer Services; implement containment and improvements.
  • Lead small projects or teams to perform process improvements or qualifications.
  • Present status of activities and projects to management via reports or presentations.

Overview

The Printing Specialist supports daily production with printing process & quality issues, providing a quick response and presence to the shop floor. This role is also responsible for ink management and supporting during customer visits and press checks, aiding in the process of going from design to production

Responsibilities
  • Follow and comply with all OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Monitor, support and improve production yield rates in accordance with company targets.
  • Provide technical support on the press to industrialize products from design until the printing process is completed
  • Monitor inks stock and re-order as needed to ensure continuity in printing operations
  • Problem solving for issues related to printing process
  • Audit, maintain and improve existing processes, identifying issues and proposing corrective actions with respective implementation, while expressing a good problem solving capability.
  • Develop and qualify new products and processes, manage projects with proper documentation and consistent monitoring while following IDEMIA routine and "IWay" standards.
  • Assist in designing industrialization plans for new products, processes or equipment following the industrial qualification procedure in relation to Company Quality Assurance standards
  • Investigate customer complaints with Quality Assurance, Production and Customer Services and make containment and improvement recommendations with a continuous improvement approach
  • Lead small projects and small teams to perform a process improvement or problem solving activity, or to complete successfully a qualification
  • Present the status of his activities and project to the management via regular written reports or oral presentations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree (B. S.) from a four-year college or university with emphasis in Mechanical, industrial or chemical Engineering or design.
  • Possess solid understanding of engineering principles including developing, qualifying and implementing new production processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical experience in litho process; digital and silkscreen are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain production environment in front of customers.
  • Excellent time management, communications, presentation and organization skills.
  • Experience with new products development, qualification and introduction.
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis, problem solving using different methodologies (8D, 6 Sigma, QRQC…)
