Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a local print facility. You will supervise production, plan schedules, manage labor and materials, and drive process improvements to handle large orders with high quality.

You’ll work with the General Manager to improve profitability, mentor a team, and ensure seamless coordination with stores and customers. A strong background in digital print production and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing in a digital print production or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe Suites.
• Excellent communication, planning, delegation, negotiating and organizational skills.
• Leadership and vision in managing teams collaboratively.
• Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
• Ability to work through and manage change successfully.
• Excel at operating in a fast paced environment with a high degree of flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production activities and supervise the production process.
• Lead team to improve operational effectiveness by streamlining work processes and procedures.
• Maintain relationships with current suppliers and source new vendors.
• Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
• Manage labor and material resources to meet production targets with high quality.
• Foster and facilitate effective communication between all support functions.
• Supervise, coach, develop, train, onboard and inspire a team of associates.
• Work with General Manager to improve profitability and control expenses.
• Plan and evaluate and improve business processes to enhance speed, quality, efficiency and output.
• Deliver to customer expectations by coaching the team to optimum performance.
