This role emphasizes quality control, waste reduction, and timely production while maintaining safety and efficient machine operations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to read setup instructions.

Qualifications

• Requires basic computer skills related to Longford operations.
• Requires basic math skills for setup and quantity checks.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and set up the press accordingly.
• Strong problem-solving abilities for machine issues.
• Understanding of quality systems and how they relate to customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Examine job orders to determine quantities, stock specs, colors or special instructions.
• Verify foil specifications for each job.
• Initiate and perform make-readies with guidance to team members.
• Perform general operations maintenance to maintain speed and quality.
• Create first save copies on all start-ups.
• Collect and inspect samples to identify adjustments.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure proofing is accurate for each job.
• Direct team to review maintenance tasks for major make-readies.
• Coordinate team interactions to ensure proper machine operations.
• Monitor pack quality and waste, maintain records and reports.
• Maintain housekeeping around machines and workspace.
• Adhere to safety measures and lockout/tagout procedures when needed.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
