Job summary

CCL Industries Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking skilled Press Helpers for both 1st and 2nd shifts to support press operators. You will assist with setup, changeovers, and cleaning, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, gathering materials, loading ink, and maintaining press supplies while following cgmp standards. A team-based approach helps meet production goals and strict quality checks.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well as part of a team to hit production goals.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and job jackets.

Responsibilities

• Examine job orders to determine details and verify materials and equipment needed for jobs.
• Gather materials and equipment for each job and ensure job carts are prepared before orders are placed on the press.
• Assist press operator to set up and changeovers including mounting plates and loading ink.
• Maintain adequate quantities of press supplies at presses.
• Clean ink chambers and related equipment; assist in post-changeover cleanup.
• Perform routine material handling using carts and pallet jacks; return components to their locations.
• Keep the press running while the operator is away for breaks or lunch.
• Examine labels to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Complete reports and documentation for quality and productivity; communicate deviations to supervisor.
• Work as a team to follow production schedules and complete quality checks.
• Follow safety policies, comply with cGMP, and maintain a clean environment.
• Overtime as needed and assigned.
