Job summary

Dow Jones Printing Plant is offering an Apprenticeship Program in LaGrange, GA, a 6‑month immersive experience at the intersection of manufacturing and technology. You will gain hands‑on exposure to traditional press operations, mechanical and electrical maintenance, CMMS‑driven maintenance, and digital pre‑press workflows.

You will work closely with seasoned operators and mentors, build practical printing skills, and contribute to efficiency and sustainability projects in a real production

Qualifications

• Interest in manufacturing, engineering, or technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of press operations, including mechanics, color systems, and quality control
• Support day-to-day production in a live printing environment
• Monitor equipment and assist with preventive/predictive maintenance using a CMMS system
• Work with Variable Data Printing (VDP) and digital pre‑press processes
• Explore tools to improve efficiency in layout and production workflows
• Contribute to projects focused on sustainability, efficiency, or process improvement
• Troubleshoot mechanical and system‑related issues alongside experienced team members
