Job summary

Dow Jones, located in LaGrange, GA, seeks a skilled technician to maintain and operate electronic and electromechanical systems for our publications. You will work 35 hours weekly, with overtime as needed, based in LaGrange and reporting to the Production Manager.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, documentation, and safe operation of WAN/LAN systems. You will collaborate with machinists, vendors, and staff to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience supporting technology systems relevant to this role.
• Experience in a production environment, preferably cold web offset newspaper printing production.
• Experience with conveyor lines, stacking and strapping equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown repair response and coordinate with machinists to resolve issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electromechanical components across pressroom, mailroom, and building systems.
• Support integration of new technologies and liaise with vendors during installation or removal.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and support to staff and customers.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and installation instructions, and create training programs.
