Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a hands-on Mailroom Operator for the Chicopee, MA Print Plant. You will prepare and run the mailroom nightly, operating and maintaining mailing equipment, and ensuring high quality, content freshness, and productivity while controlling costs.

You will contribute to continuous improvements in Production Quality Score, support colleagues, and assist in training new staff. A high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and solid communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equal is required.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential for operating mailroom equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and basic PC skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the mailroom for nightly operation of Dow Jones publications.
• Operate and maintain newspaper mailing and bundling equipment.
• Meet production quality and cost-efficiency targets; manage materials usage.
• Communicate with supervisor and colleagues to achieve department goals.
• Assist training of new employees and complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all corporate and plant policies and maintain records.
• Coordinate with production manager on equipment maintenance priorities.
