Job summary

Amsive in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Finishing Department Operator to run and maintain post-press lines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency to meet client specifications. You will operate Tecnau and Hunkeler finishing lines, input data into ERP, perform start-up and preventive maintenance, and monitor product quality to deliver high-quality finished materials for distribution or mailing.

• Enter data into ERP system to monitor performance, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
• Sample and monitor product quality and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality issues; ensure continuous production.

Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Work Hours: 5p - 5a Thu, Fri, Sat every other Wed with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory
Pay: Starting at $20/hr based on skills and experience

What we are looking for:

As a Finishing Department Operator , you will be responsible for operating and maintaining post-press equipment to ensure printed materials are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to client specifications. You play a critical role in delivering high-quality finished products ready for distribution or mailing.

What you will be doing:

• Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines andtraditional cutters and folders in bindery.
• Enter data into ERP system to monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality.
• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
• Sample and monitor product quality and making modifications as needed.
• Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting and stabilizing performance as they occur.
• Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
• Other related duties as assigned by management.

Who you are:

• Print & Mail Production Background Familiarity with print workflows, mail piece formats (letters, flats, postcards), and USPSpostal regulations.
• Machine Operation Experience setting up and running high-speed finishing equipment (inserters, folders, cutters, stackers, unwinders, stitchers, binders).
• Mechanical Aptitude Ability to troubleshoot jams, misfeeds, or alignment issues. Operators often adjust rollers, knives, perforators, or sensors on the fly.
• Quality Control Checking for print defects, alignment, correct collation, and address readability. Operators must ensure mail pieces meet postal automation standards.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Supervisory Responsibilities : Not responsible for supervising other employees.

Work Environment : Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands:

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, andreaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance : Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
