Job summary

Amsive in Bolingbrook, IL is hiring a Bindery Operator to handle cutting and folding in the Bindery Department. The role requires operating Guillotine cutters and Folders, and performing routine maintenance.

We seek candidates with 1+ years of bindery experience in a high-volume print or direct mail setting, strong attention to detail, and good data entry skills. Evening shift from 5pm to 5am with overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in high volume direct mail, transactional print, or statement/mail manufacturing.
• 1+ years operating bindery equipment in a commercial print or direct mail environment.
• Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.
• Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to document production activities and send/reply to e-mail correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and setup Guillotine cutters and Folders in the Bindery.
• Perform emergency and daily equipment maintenance as required.
• Complete daily departmental tasks including housekeeping, communication, and operations.
• Data entry of jobs being processed in AmsiveERP (Monarch).
• Communicate with Lead, Supervisor, Manager and Team.
• Assist in special duties and projects as required by Management.

Work Hours:

5pm - 5am, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory

Pay:

Starting at $19/hr based on skills and experience

What we are looking for:

Operator in Bindery is responsible for activities related to cutting and folding in our Bindery Department.

What you will be doing:

• Operating andsetup of Guillotine cutters and Folders
• Perform emergency and daily equipment maintenance to devise asrequired
• Complete departmental daily tasks including but not limited to housekeeping,communicationand operations
• Data entry of jobs beingprocessesinAmsiveERP (Monarch)
• Communicate to Lead, Supervisor, Manager and Team
• Assistin special duties and projects as required by Management

Who you are:

• Experience in high volume direct mail, transactional print, or statement/mail manufacturing

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising other employees.

Work Environment

Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands:

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance:

Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
