Role Description

The Print Estimator & Customer Service role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for print projects by reviewing specifications, materials, and production methods, and collaborating with internal teams to determine costs and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries, providing pricing and job status updates, entering and confirming orders, and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, coordinating with production and sales to resolve issues, and proactively supporting customers to achieve successful outcomes for their print work. The individual in this position will help uphold Pressworks’ standards of quality, reliability, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience with print estimating, including interpreting job specifications, calculating material and labor costs, and understanding offset, digital, and finishing processes.
• Customer service skills with a focus on professional communication, relationship building, and timely resolution of client questions or concerns.
• Strong administrative and organizational abilities, including order entry, documentation, and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimates, pricing, and data entry, with the ability to review work for completeness and correctness.
• Proficiency with office and estimating software; comfort working with email communication tools and PACE or ability to learn.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with sales, production, and management teams in a fast-paced print environment.
• Relevant experience in commercial printing or a related industry is preferred; knowledge of paper stocks, inks, and finishing options is beneficial.
