Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. is seeking a Print Designer to independently create textile prints, patterns, and artwork for our apparel brands.

You will use hand-drawn and digital techniques to develop concepts, colorways, and production-ready artwork in collaboration with design, production, and sourcing teams. The role requires a strong portfolio in print development, expertise in Illustrator and Photoshop, and a deep understanding of Pantone standards and production workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in textile print, surface, or apparel design.
• Strong portfolio showing original print development and colorways.
• Advanced proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Pantone, repeats, placement prints, and production artwork.

Responsibilities

• Independently create original textile prints, repeat patterns, placement graphics, engineered prints, and embroidery artwork.
• Use hand-drawn and digital techniques to develop original concepts, layouts, scales, colorways, and production-ready artwork.
• Prepare artwork specifications for digital print, screen print, sublimation, embroidery, and related techniques.
• Develop seasonal print concepts based on brand direction, trend research, and market opportunities.
• Create and refine color palettes and color stories for collections.
• Collaborate with product development, sourcing, and production teams to ensure artwork is executed correctly.
• Research trends and translate them into original, brand-appropriate concepts.
• Create seasonal inspiration boards, print stories, color boards for design reviews.
