Job summary

Emerging Blue, Inc. is seeking a Junior Print/Textile Designer to join our design team in Jersey City, NJ.

You will craft original prints, color stories, and textile concepts for seasonal collections, collaborating with design, product development, and production. The ideal candidate has a fashion/textile background, proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, and a strong portfolio showcasing repeat patterns, colorways, and print design.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in print or textile design; internships will be considered.
Portfolio demonstrating print, pattern, and textile design skills is required.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong sense of color, scale, composition, and repeat patterns.
Ability to research and interpret fashion and market trends.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Create original prints, patterns, and artwork for seasonal collections.
Assist in developing print and textile concepts based on trends, customer needs, and brand direction.
Research fashion, color, print, and textile trends.
Prepare artwork for presentations, production, and vendor communication.
Create colorways and modify existing prints as needed.
Maintain organized artwork, CADs, and print libraries.
Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Production teams.
Ensure artwork is accurate and meets technical and production requirements.
