As a Principal Engagement Manager, you will fully manage the successful implementation of Workday solutions for customers by working closely with customer business teams and internal delivery teams to drive the scope, definition, and delivery of solutions. You’ll take accountability for the complete delivery lifecycle, managing all aspects of your projects, including project planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, budget and financial management, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Work directly with clients to define and oversee the execution of engagements.
  • Responsible for client satisfaction during implementation.
  • Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Understand the business context and strategic goals of the project to make aligned decisions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, streamlining decision-making and resolving conflicts.
Project Execution
  • Coordinate and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Work closely with team members to manage day-to-day activities across project phases.
Team Leadership
  • Build and coach a team of delivery members to ensure delivery excellence and growth.
  • Participate in the sales cycle when needed to gather requirements and develop proposals/SOWs.
Additional Project Management
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of SDLC management and industry standards.
  • Act as a key client and stakeholder contact, managing expectations and resolving issues.
  • Maximize business opportunities through proper follow-up, tracking, and creative client solutions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in account/customer management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development (preferred).
  • Proven track record of account growth.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Technology savvy, including experience with HRMS platforms and Microsoft Office.

Ability to travel up to 20% (infrequent but occasional travel required).
