Principal Wireless Engineer - Hanover, MD

SouthTek Resources is actively searching for a Principal Engineer experienced in a Product Design and Lead Architecture role performing wireless software development team leadership with an emphasis on embedded Object-Oriented (OO) techniques.

An active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities:

1. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) components while leading a competent team of embedded software engineers.
2. Implement proof-of-concept ideas to improve wireless network operation or wireless security.
3. Gather spoken system/software requirements from customers and derive system/software/network specifications.
4. Document implementation conditions, configuration files, create product diagrams, and present to peers and superiors.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum BSEE degree (MSEE Preferred) and 8 years of design experience including at least 3 years of team leadership experience is required.
2. Strong experience with radio/wireless software development.
3. Strong experience with RF (Radio Frequency) development.
4. Strong C/C++ and Assembly languages development.
5. Object-Oriented software design/development using CAE tools (preferably UML).
6. Real-Time Operating Systems and embedded processing applications experience required.
7. U.S. Citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
