Job Summary

Provides infrastructure engineering expertise to improve environments based on system requirements, user stories, support tickets, and test defects. Leads engineering projects and activities for large projects and multiple workstreams.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

• Collaborates with stakeholders for application gap analyses and feasibility studies.
• Develops and documents technical design specifications.
• Researches, designs, and tests new technologies.
• Assists in designing infrastructure processes and metrics.
• Defines system requirements and translates into technical specifications.
• Analyzes hardware and applications for security compliance.
• Trains team members and serves as a project lead.
• Provides updates to management on activities and project statuses.

Nature and Scope

• Uses critical thinking to resolve complex problems, making prompt, sound decisions under uncertainty.
• Operates with considerable autonomy, developing innovative solutions for strategic problems.

Work Environment

• Primarily indoor, comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
• Mostly sitting with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light items.
• Overnight travel less than 10%.

Education And Experience

• BS/BA in related discipline with 8+ years of experience or MS/MA with 5+ years. Certification required in some areas.
