Job summary

Stantec seeks a Principal Water/Wastewater Engineer to join its Irvine, CA office, delivering water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects. You will lead client service, project delivery, and design management while growing leadership skills and serving as a technical resource within California's water practice.

Responsibilities include scoping, budgeting, proposal development, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, with emphasis on mentoring and strategic client relationships.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering; M.S. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Become engaged in business development and project delivery as a client-facing Project Leader in the Municipal and/or Industrial Water market in California.
• Manage project staff, financials, and contracts meeting performance goals and client expectations.
• Promote Stantec’s project delivery structure that includes Project Managers and Project Technical Leads.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership in innovative solutions for water/wastewater projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients during planning, design, and construction.
• Lead business development efforts and strategic client relationships in California.
