Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovation is seeking a Principal Engineer Process Engineer specializing in logistics. You will own end-to-end logistics design, including equipment, layouts, and vendor coordination for biotherapeutic manufacturing at scale.

You will lead cross-functional teams, interface with external partners, and drive commissioning, qualification, and startup activities to ensure readiness for production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years logistics process engineering and/or capital project execution in a large-molecule, biotherapeutic cGMP environment.
• Experience designing floorplans for warehouses and material transport corridors using simulation and time studies to maximize flow.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to lead multicultural teams and remote collaborators.
• Extensive interaction with external partners (A&E firms, construction teams, equipment vendors).
• Strong ability to resolve complex technical/regulatory challenges in logistics equipment and facility design.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of logistics area with specifications and drawings (URS, data sheets, specs, P&IDs, PFDs).
• Provide process system ownership and technical leadership for logistics equipment in biotherapeutic production.
• Assess vendor competency; influence bid documents; ensure project development and system performance.
• Lead design and development of logistics equipment with cross-functional partners and vendors.
• Serve as SME for large-molecule aseptic projects, interfacing with A&E firms and suppliers.
• Lead and support FAT, SAT, commissioning and C&Q for production lines.
• Resolve complex issues during C&Q and ensure readiness for qualification and operation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Facilities, MSAT, Quality, Procurement, Automation, Inventory Control, EHS to accelerate execution.
• Ensure alignment with evolving business needs and strong stakeholder management.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and regulatory expectations for biotherapeutics.
• Apply data-driven insights to guide technical and strategic decisions.
