Job description

Lensa is a U.S. career site that helps job seekers discover job opportunities. We are not a staffing firm or agency. We promote jobs on behalf of our clients, which include employers, recruitment agencies, and marketing partners.

Your role at Dynatrace

Dynatrace is redefining the future of observability, security, and AIOps. As we expand our global footprint, we are building a world-class in-house video team to help tell smarter, sharper, and more emotionally resonant stories across platforms. We are seeking a Senior Video Editor who is as strategic as they are creative — someone who doesn't just "cut footage" but who shapes stories, pitches ideas, and pushes boundaries. You will collaborate closely with creative directors, producers, and designers to craft high-impact video experiences for events, product launches, brand marketing, and beyond. his role is ideal for an editor who understands the craft of classic editing — pacing, emotion, tension, release — and is also excited by the frontier of AI-driven post-production workflows. You’ll help define the next wave of video at one of the most innovative enterprise tech brands in the world — and do it in a way that doesn’t feel like traditional enterprise video. You’ll work under creative leadership that’s pushing for bold, meaningful, unexpected work — and you’ll get to help shape what that looks and feels like. We want someone with an ability to work across the spectrum from high concept to quick social videos. Someone with a POV. Someone who can speak up when something’s off, pitch when something’s missing, and execute when something’s ready to fly. At the foundation, you’re the kind of editor who thinks in tone, not just timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Production Excellence Edit a wide range of dynamic content that spans the full brand and product ecosystem:

  • Cinematic brand films and product explainers that bring clarity to complexity
  • High-impact sizzle reels for launches, events, and internal milestones
  • Executive profiles and thought leadership videos that blend authority with personality
  • Social-first content optimized for short-form attention and platform-specific behaviors
  • Internal communications and culture-driven videos that foster connection and alignment
  • Craft edits that balance information with emotion.Your talent is based in sconstructing rhythm, revealing character, building narrative tension, and guiding the viewer toward a powerful insight or call to action is paramount.
  • Champion a visual and tonal standard that aligns with Dynatrace’s brand voice — sophisticated, confident, clean, and future-focused.
  • Polish is non-negotiable: Every frame should be color-considered, rhythmically tight, and visually intentional. That means:
  • Thoughtful pacing, clean transitions, and elegant cuts & strategic use of text, motion graphics, and iconography
  • Smart music supervision and sound design choices that elevate the message
  • Version and localize content for multi-platform distribution and global audiences, with an eye toward delivering maximum impact no matter the screen or market.
  • Collaborate with motion designers, audio mixers, and producers to elevate the final product — you know when to ask for backup and when to own it yourself.
  • Build for longevity: Your projects live in a system — not a silo. You’ll organize timelines, maintain clean project files, and create assets others can build from, ensuring efficiency and reusability across campaigns

Story Development & Ideation

  • Collaborate with the Director of Video Strategy and stakeholders to pitch creative video concepts that bring Dynatrace’s mission to life. Help shape scripts, voiceover, and visual narrative arcs.
  • Provide creative input in pre-production, motion design, and content strategy conversations.

Minimum Requirements

What will help you succeed

  • 5+ years of professional editing experience across branded content, commercial campaigns, or high-end editorial

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and story — you know how to land a moment and when to let something breathe Collaborative mindset with creative courage — you’re not afraid to speak up or suggest better ideas
  • A reel or portfolio that shows visual craft, taste, and creative instinct
  • Experience creating, implementing & maintaining post production process and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and experience with cloud-based workflows (Frame.io, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Adobe’s new AI-powered tools in Creative Cloud and an interest in how generative tools can elevate the editorial process
  • Experience working cross-functionally with producers, brand teams, and exec-level stakeholders
  • Comfortable with feedback — knowing when to push back and when to polish Motion graphics and color correction experience is a plus, but not required

Why you will love being a Dynatracer

  • A one-product software company creating real value for the largest enterprises and millions of end customers globally, striving for a world where software works perfectly.
  • Working with the latest technologies and at the forefront of innovation in tech on scale; but also, in other areas like marketing, design, or research.
  • A team that thinks outside the box, welcomes unconventional ideas, and pushes boundaries.
  • An environment that fosters innovation, enables creative collaboration, and allows you to grow.
  • A globally unique and tailor-made career development program recognizing your potential, promoting your strengths, and supporting you in achieving your career goals.
  • A truly international mindset with Dynatracers from different countries & cultures all over the world, and English as the corporate language that connects us all
  • A culture that is being shaped by the diverse personalities, expertise, and backgrounds of our global team.
