Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a Principal/MTS Process Development Engineer focused on Vapor/Thermal etch for Advanced DRAM. You will develop and integrate thermal, vapor, and ALD etch processes, lead feasibility studies, and collaborate with Process Integration, equipment teams, and vendors to meet program goals.

Qualifications

• PhD with 5+ years of experience OR a master's with 7+ years in a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related field.
• Expert knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and thermal/vapor/ALD etch processes.
• Demonstrated success using root-cause analysis or model-based problem solving.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, gas-phase reactions, transport phenomena and reaction characterization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate advanced thermal, vapor, and atomic layer etch processes for next-generation DRAM technologies.
• Lead feasibility studies and root-cause analyses to resolve complex process challenges.
• Drive process roadmaps, readiness, and yield improvements to meet program objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Contribute to IP development and evaluate emerging technologies.
