Job summary

Newton Research seeks a Principal, User Experience to own the design direction for the Newton platform and to lead and grow the design team. You will work directly with the founders, product, engineering, and data science to create agentic software that feels obvious to users who are accustomed to spreadsheets and dashboards.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep experience in complex B2B SaaS, an outstanding portfolio of data-dense interfaces, and the ability to ship in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• 10+ years of designing digital products for complex B2B or enterprise SaaS
• Leadership or mentoring experience with a track record of building a design team
• Portfolio showcasing data-dense, workflow-heavy interfaces and strong data visualization skills
• Fluency with modern design and prototyping tools; able to prototype in code or with AI tooling to communicate intent quickly
• Experience shipping in fast-moving environments with a design system underpinning products

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the agent-to-human interface for media and direct how planners teach agents and manage multiple agents
• Own end-to-end user experience across the Newton platform including planning, buying, measurement, and agent workflows
• Make complex analytical outputs clear and defensible to non-technical decision makers
• Design the approval and control experience for governed action and trust the limits customers set
• Stay hands-on with wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and close pairing with engineering
• Build and maintain Newton's design system and front-end standards for coherence as products scale
• Run lightweight research with brands, agencies, publishers, and platforms to turn learnings into design decisions
• Collaborate with product and data science to test ideas early; work with sales/marketing on demos and narratives
• Hire, mentor, and lead a growing design team with scalable critique, processes, and quality bars
• Shape the interface direction as AI reshapes enterprise software and guide the company toward it
