Qualifications

A Day in the Life

Job Specific Summary
We have multiple openings on our training and education team. We will consider remote work within the United States.

Become part of a dynamic team responsible for training and educating our sales and clinical specialist teams in cardiac ablation to treat arrhythmias, a rapidly growing area of medical technology. As part of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operating Unit, you will play an integral role in educating key organizational groups as the OU expands into new market segments with advanced technologies. Use your creativity and passion to lead innovation in training and education, bringing life-changing therapy to patients worldwide.

  • Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
  • Gather information to prepare training materials; develop course content; determine methodologies; and coordinate the development of training aids.
  • Ensure training programs meet company and customer objectives.
  • Maintain communication with customers to assess training effectiveness.
  • Utilize trainers with technical expertise when necessary.
  • Revise lesson plans to meet evolving training requirements and keep technical information current.
  • Participate in assessing field needs for new or revised curricula using the ADDIE instructional design model.
  • Influence the design of new indication and product launch education plans aligned with business strategy, focusing on functional results.
  • Create and execute engaging education programs for Field Sales and Clinical Specialists to enhance electrophysiology knowledge and skills, supporting business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PACE T&E, Product Marketing, Sales, Product Development, etc.) to create compliant and effective education programs, curricula, and materials.
  • Evaluate education effectiveness systematically and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Physician Education team to develop new processes and standards to increase efficiency.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

Travel: up to 50%

Qualifications for Principal Level:

  • High School Diploma + minimum 11 years relevant experience in clinical labs, clinical training, or medical device support, or equivalent.
  • Associate's Degree + minimum 9 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree + minimum 7 years relevant experience.
  • 3 years of EP mapping experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced Electrophysiology certification (RCIS or IBHRE preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Smart Sheets, Articulate & Rise, Adobe, Camtasia, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methods, presentation skills, and strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with external customers and deliver impactful training.
  • Experience with medical device curriculum development and assessment of core competencies.

Benefits & Compensation:

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and benefits package, supporting employees at all life stages. Salary range for U.S. locations (excluding PR): $121,600 - $182,400. This position is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, employee stock purchase, and more.
