Job summary

Mott MacDonald Group is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineering Leader to join the Southern California transportation team, based in the Los Angeles area. The role offers technical leadership, client engagement, and mentoring across a growing practice.

You will oversee traffic engineering reviews and designs, collaborate with LA Metro, Caltrans, and public agencies, and help expand the practice with a client-facing advisory approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with CA TE licence.
• Experience leading traffic engineering reviews and designs.
• Experience with California standards (MUTCD, Caltrans) and agency processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for traffic engineering projects across Southern California.
• Lead reviews and approvals of worksite traffic control, TMPs, detour plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and grow the Southern California team.
