Mott MacDonald is recruiting for a Principal Project Manager to lead major civil ports and maritime projects in Southern California and North America. The role combines design delivery, client relationship management, and team leadership to deliver complex port infrastructure with a focus on safety, sustainability, and value.

Based in Los Angeles, you will drive proposals, manage multidisciplinary teams, and collaborate across offices to deliver integrated solutions for port authorities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equal.
• PE license required; California registration preferred.
• 15+ years delivering ports, terminals, maritime, waterfront, coastal, marine, or heavy civil projects.
• Experience with AHJ plan checks and permitting of design packages.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills, with stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Lead the delivery of large, complex ports and maritime infrastructure design projects.
• Lead civil engineering and design for port clients across assets on and off terminals.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across planning, design, procurement, and construction phases.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships with port authorities and agencies.
• Drive project controls, risk management, forecasting, and resource planning.
