Jobot is seeking an Experienced Principal Traffic Engineer in San Diego, CA. Must be CA-registered as a Professional Civil Engineer or Traffic Engineer. The role oversees teams and manages complex traffic engineering projects with a hybrid-remote work option.

The position offers a competitive base salary ($130k–$165k), comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for ownership and career advancement. Prior Southern California experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree with CA Registration as a PE or TE.
• 7+ years in traffic engineering/planning, or 12 years in the field.
• 5+ years of supervision of designers, planners, and drafters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee traffic engineers, designers, and CAD staff.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, including budgets and schedules.
• Lead design teams and coordinate with clients and public agencies.
• Prepare contracts, proposals, and scopes of work.
• Prepare traffic signal, signing, and traffic control plans.
