Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Test Engineer to join our team in the Andover, MA facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining testing procedures, product troubleshooting, and maintaining test stations for Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters used in advanced defense applications.
What You Will Do
Develop and implement automated and manual test procedures for SAW filter production.
Design and maintain test fixtures and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
Analyze test data to identify trends and root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and yield. Collaborate with design, process, and manufacturing engineers to optimize SAW filter performance and manufacturability.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality management systems.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on SAW filter testing techniques and equipment.
Prepare detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in production testing, preferably with RF/microwave components.
Understanding of SAW filter principles, design, and performance characteristics.
5+ years using test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
5+ years of experience with automated test systems and software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience with statistical analysis and process control methodologies.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
