Job summary

Amazon Ads is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the development of an AI agent for Ads that helps customers find and discover new products and engage with brands and sellers on Amazon.

You will manage complex technical programs that span multiple VP-level organizations, align on requirements, create work back plans, define API contracts, and manage strategic communications with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

Amazon is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the development of an AI agent for Ads that helps customers find and discover new products and engage with brands and sellers on Amazon.


In this role, you will manage complex technical programs that span multiple VP-level organizations. You will work across teams to align on project requirements, create work back plans, define API contracts, and manage strategic communications with executive stakeholders.


This is a leadership position that requires an ability to earn trust with stakeholders across diverse disciplines including engineering, product, operations, legal, sales, UX, and marketing. You must be a highly-collaborative team player capable of inspiring teams to innovate and deliver results against challenging timelines.

Basic Qualifications


  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
