BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is hiring a Principal Technical Lead for the Clinical and Communications Systems team.

You will guide architecture, design, and strategic tech choices across the portfolio, lead modernization efforts, and mentor engineers while advancing interoperability initiatives. You will independently drive complex technical programs from design to delivery, with emphasis on legacy modernization and vendor integration.

Qualificações

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
• 3 years of IT concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards experience.
• 7 years of systems and programming experience required.
• 3 years expert working knowledge of at least one programming language used at BCBST.

Responsabilidades

• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems.
• Devises or modifies applications to optimize capacity, operating time, response time and outcomes.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs and scripts.
• Executes and delivers all phases of development and configuration lifecycles with high quality.
• Manages large projects and handles complex problems independently.
• Responds to failures and performance events to minimize downtime and recurrence.
• Acts as SME and provides technical mentoring across engineering teams.
