Job summary

BCBST BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Enterprise Architecture to lead the evolution and execution of our enterprise-wide architecture strategy. You will guide long-term roadmaps, influence investment, and ensure alignment between business strategy and technology delivery.

The ideal leader will mentor architects, drive EA governance, and collaborate across a matrix organization to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions in a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years - IT Architecture or related field experience.
• 5 years - leading teams of technical resources in diverse disciplines.
• Experience with TOGAF, Zachman, and similar frameworks.
• Ability to mentor architects and foster accountability and learning.
• Agile mindset with SDLC controls and metrics integration.
• Healthcare data domain familiarity and HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a matrix workforce to gather and synthesize requirements.
• Lead a team of Enterprise Architects across disciplines to plan and execute goals.
• Provide architectural leadership for strategy, development, and evaluation of EA technologies.
• Influence technology investment and product selection to support the organization’s mission.
• Define EA maturity roadmap and governance with stakeholders for adoption of new processes.
• Ensure solutions align with technology assurance standards and quality reviews.
• Manage workload and communicate status to senior leadership including risk mitigation.
• Develop SDLC procedures to support EA controls and metrics.
