Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Technical Editor and Writer to join the Melbourne, Florida team onsite. You will support the development and maintenance of S1000D-compliant technical publications for tactical aircraft and collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year of experience.
• Experience authoring/quality reviewing technical content to S1000D standards (IETMs, data modules).
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret and Top Secret clearances.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier management activities related to technical documentation deliverables as part of the SMT.
• Manage customer interactions on technical publications and ensure quality/acceptance of supplier deliverables.
• Perform independent quality reviews of S1000D materials to ensure compliance with the standard.
