Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Principal Systems Safety Engineer to join its team supporting the GBSD program. Location options include Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama, with potential relocation assistance.

You will influence design for safety, develop safety artifacts, and ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882E, DO-178/DO-254. A US citizenship and DoD Secret clearance are required to proceed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with MIL-STD-882E, DO-178/DO-254 for design development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Java; strong system safety focus.

Responsabilités

• Participate in design of products/systems, support facilities.
• Create functional specs and safety requirements for assigned systems.
• Develop safety documents and perform audits of operations.
• Evaluate interrelationships of safety requirements with design.
