Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline in Cambridge, MA. The role spans the full lifecycle from concept to deployment, with heavy MBSE and SysML modeling, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

The position onsite at a customer facility requires a STEM background, 8+ years of engineering experience, and experience with DOORs, MBSE, and SysML tools. Security clearance is a prerequisite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with systems requirements, software, and hardware; systems integration or testing is a plus.
• Experience with DOORs, MBSE, and Cameo / MagicDraw.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain SysML models and generate design documentation.
• Coordinate with Electrical and Software engineering to guide subsystem development and ensure requirements traceability.
• Interface with customers and program stakeholders regularly.
• Conduct and support technical peer reviews and provide guidance to team members.
• Communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
