Job Summary

We seek a Principal Systems Engineer to support the development of complex inertial guidance systems for space and military applications within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) discipline. You will collaborate across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions that directly impact mission‑critical defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces.
- Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronizing requirements, and generate design documentation/views.
- Interface with cross‑functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct and support technical peer reviews, providing constructive feedback and documenting technical guidance.
- Communicate technical topics and issues clearly to both technical peers and non‑technical team members.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware; experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus.
- Experience with DOORS, MBSE, UML/SysML, and/or Cameo / MagicDraw.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
- Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORS and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw.
- Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
- Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test.
- Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development.
- Experience with Gears Feature‑Based variation management tools.
- Experience with DXL scripting.
- Experience with Python, Java, or Matlab.
- Radar architecture and/or algorithms knowledge.
- Self‑starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems.
- 3 years of experience with Systems/Software Engineering Product Development Cycle.
